Pop Paper City is an exciting new 3D childrenā€™s show airing on broadcasters around the world, including the UK. We are currently recruiting to expand our team, and we are on the look for an array of positions.

Artists with a background in Cinema 4D are preferred but training will be provided for users of other 3D softwares such as Maya.

We are looking for team members who have enthusiasm, are great team players with great skills, and are keen to work with us for the duration of the series, and ongoing future series.

Youā€™ll work alongside a talented and diverse group of people in a beautiful setting on the South Coast.

The CG Generalist will work alongside our Animation Director in a range of areas of production, assisting in animation, asset creation and compositing. Animating characters, building environments and adding the finishing touches with visual effects.

Candidates must be masters of organisation and time management in order to assist within a wide area of production efficiently and effectively.

The candidate must have a strong passion for animation and a desire to work within a larger team to come together to create something amazing.

Key Skills and Responsibilities :

  • Strong understanding of animation principles
  • Comfortable using various types of 3D rigs.
  • Ability to Model, UV and texture stylised assets.
  • Managing your workload and completing the tasks allocated to you on time.
  • Ability to find creative solutions to a problem
  • Add VFX elements such as smoke, atmosphere, lens flares and glows to required shots
  • Colour Correcting any required shots
  • Making sure to meet daily and weekly quotas
  • Responding positively to, and acting on notes and feedback from your Director and Supervisor.

  • Able to communicate clearly with colleagues
  • Able to work collaboratively, as well as independently
  • Be able to deliver on schedule, working calmly and efficiently under pressure

  • Have high organisational skills and be able to work independently and take initiative.
  • Effectively communicate ideas to colleagues in team meetings

Required Experience :

  • At least 2+ years production experience.
  • At least 2+ years experience with a 3D programme such as Cinema 4D or Maya
  • Knowledge of Render plug ins such as Octane, Redshift or Arnold.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative suite such as Premiere, After Effect and Photoshop
  • Rigging experience is a plus.
