The role
We’re looking for a highly skilled and experienced VFX Artist to join our team, helping us finalize our game’s gameplay and levels with high-quality visual flair.
You will work closely with all departments to ensure that the quality and performance goals are met and be a part of a highly motivated and talented team. As a VFX artist at Fatshark, you are driven, curious & creative and flexible to meet deadlines.

What you’ll do
- Create real time visual effects for our next game Warhammer 40,000: Darktide
- Bring life and excitement to the game through your design and implementation of compelling realistic visual effects
- Coordinate with Art, Sound, Level & Game Design to ensure VFX match the quality bar and vision for the game
- Design and take ownership of interdisciplinary VFX systems, material hit effects and more
- Help to improve technical pipelines and VFX creation techniques/tools
- Assist in research and development
Required qualifications
- More than 2 years of work experience within real time Visual Effects
- Contributed to the development of one or more shipped games for current Consoles or PC
- A graphical eye
- Strong understanding of particle systems
- Game engine experience, as in Unreal, Unity or similar
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks
- Versatility, independence and a sense of initiative are your strong points
Bonus qualifications
- Shipped at least 1 AAA or equivalent game
- Development of cooperative games
- Strong Warhammer interest
- Houdini experience
- A background in gaming
